About Shannon
Shannon was born and raised in Queens, New York, and is grateful for the opportunity to care for the diverse communities that helped shape who she is today. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. John’s University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Ithaca College. Shannon is fluent in English and Cantonese and is currently learning Mandarin.
Shannon chose to become a Physician Assistant because she wanted to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and taking an active role in their health. She enjoys practicing primary care because it allows her to build long-term relationships with patients while emphasizing preventive care, helping patients manage chronic conditions, and supporting their overall health and well-being.
She believes the best healthcare is built on collaboration. Shannon values shared decision-making and patient education, empowering each patient to understand their health and make informed decisions that align with their individual goals and lifestyle.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys exploring different neighborhoods throughout New York City, trying new restaurants, catching a movie, listening to music, and working on pottery projects at the wheel. She also enjoys a wide variety of arts and crafts and is always looking for her next creative hobby.
